When you're after something Porsche - other than a 911...

Having a few air cooled classics in the garage we find ourselves looking slightly further afield.  Sticking with our broad principles of what we find enjoyable (old Porsches) left us with a few options.  We decided..eventually.....what better way to move on than follow the path than Porsche blazed back in 1978.  Enter the 928.  8 cylinders, front mounted engine, radiator and coolant (gasp) and still a Porsche.  Designed as a GT cruiser these are generally three speed auto boxes more at home as a gentleman's highway express than carving corners or cutting a lap....meaning for a long time it wasn't for us.

Now we believe to have found the antidote to this lazy character of the 1970's Porsche 928's..... our choice has 5 litres under the bonnet, a manual GT gearbox, track prepared by a professional team and campaigned for some ten years in the Porsche Cup then enjoyed as a club sprint car for the last half dozen.  Character and attitude in spades and most definitely not your average 928!   We're currently getting this beast softened a little (heat shields are handy around exhausts to keep cabin temps below 55 degrees and carpet is desirable) to run on the road.  We'll be leading our Porsche convoys in this car and offering a second option for our client track days.  Arriving soon...

Porsche Syndicate - press release

Our Syndicate press release as been picked up by CarAdvice and MSN in addition to a brief write up in GQ.  Naturally we're pretty excited about this and  we think that syndicated ownership of Porsches offers a whole new way to look at that 'Sunday' 911, Boxster or Cayman that you'd only use for special occasions, dinner dates and trips away.  We look forward to announcing our first Porsche Syndicate over the coming weeks and think it's a great way to get into either a new or classic Porsche.
